The second running of the World Class Sires Stakes saw an outstanding
victory by Australia's fastest bitch OXLEY GAZELLE. The white and black
flyer began brilliantly from the middle box 4 and gave nothing else a chance
running a scorching 29.48. This time was the fastest ever by a bitch at
Sandown eclipsing the standard set previously by PAUA TO BURN.
OXLEY GAZELLE's NSW based owner, Snowy Watts selected
KIOWA SWEET TREY as
his preferred option and rang WCS expressing his thanks for our sponsorship
of the event. Second placegetter was the Paul Wheeler owned ZALI BALE and in
a clean sweep for NSW owners, CASH UP came in third for Keith Dawson also
from the premier State.
Unfortunately for all involved in racing, the gloss of OXLEY GAZELLE's victory
was short lived as she broke her leg in the catching pen at Sandown the
following week in the heats of the Sapphire Classic and passed away during
surgery the following day.
We at World Class Sires would like to pass on our sincere condolences to Tina Womann,
Dennis Trewin and Snowy on their tragic loss in what was a very sad day
for greyhound racing.
Many breeders ring us asking for videos of the US sires we have advertised. Due to the privatised
nature of the tracks in America there are very few races kept onfile. The best option for viewing US
races is to access them via the web at Rosnet Racing International.
The instructions below detail how to access Rosnet and download race videos.
Just a couple of points before we begin :
You will need to download Windows Media Player if you don't already have it and ideally you will
need a Broadband Internet connection. Dialup can be used but download times will be large.
Not all US tracks have video access via this site.
